What is My Account?


The My Account section will help you monitor your use of MediaBids and other users at your publication. You can edit your profile from My Account and follow your transactions from start to finish from this section. Collect your MediaBids messages here and tally the revenue your publication has earned using MediaBids.

    Getting Started
  1. How do I find My Account?
    You must be a registered user to enter My Account. After you have registered, you can enter My Account in the My Links section on your home page.
  2. What is My Publication's Account?
    The publication you represent will have an account on MediaBids as well. The publication account will consist of information about the publication that you can edit and it will also show you the names of other users and auctions they are involved in. You can access it from My Account by clicking on the name of the publication you represent.

  4. What's in My Profile?
    Your profile information contains basic information about you such as your name, title, address, e-mail address, etc. This is information you provided when you first registered at MediaBids.
  5. How can I update it?
    You can update it anytime from My Account with the "Edit" button.
  6. What happens if I update it when I have active auctions?
    Your information will be updated in the auction details as well.
  7. What is the profile information used for?
    This information is used by MediaBids for contact purposes.
  8. How can I find out if other people at my publication are participating in auctions and creating offers?
    A listing of all the publications you represent is available in My Account. Just select a publication name to view all the activity for that publication.
  9. How can I view transactions from My Account?
    Depending on the type of transaction you're interested in, you can view the auctions that you started at "My Auctions" or the auctions where you are bidding at "Bids Placed." If you'd like to see transactions that are completed, select "Purchased Ads."
  10. What sort of e-mail messages will I receive in MediaBids Messages?
    MediaBids will send messages that are related to your current activity on the site.

  12. How do I get to My Publication's Account?
    From My Account, click on a publication name to view the details of that publication.
  13. Where does the information from My Publication's MediaBids Statistics come from?
    MediaBids automatically updates this information every time you complete a transaction. These statistics will give you a good idea of the revenue raised through MediaBids and the number of ads sold by your publication.
  14. If I change some of the information for my publication, will it affect other users associated with this publication?
    If you change this information the other users listed for your publication will be notified of the changes.
  15. How can I view bids placed by other users at my publication?
    Click "Bids placed for My Publication" to view the bids placed by other publication users.

  17. How do I approve new users?
    Select the "Approve/reject new users" link and follow the instructions to approve or reject a new user. You also have received an e-mail that has a link in it that will take you to this page.
  18. What happens if I reject a user?
    The new user will be notified of the rejection and will not be able to use the site on behalf of your publication.
  19. How do I remove an existing publication user?
    From My Publication Account, click the link "Remove a Publication User." You will be given instructions on the process to remove a user.
  20. Why would I want to remove a publication user?
    If someone has left your company and was a registered MediaBids user you may want to remove this person as a representative of your publication.
  21. How is a user removed?
    After you complete the form, MediaBids verifies the information before MediaBids removes the user.
  22. Why can't I remove the user myself?
    For security purposes, only MediaBids can remove users.
